The amendments include the easing of procedural requirements and timescales for stage 1 and stage 2 of the prospective adopter approval process and the extension of the period during which a person may receive temporary approval to act as a local authority foster parent. The Welsh Government wants to extend the regulations for a further six months until 30 September 2021. The consultation closes on 2 March 2021.
