Two percent decrease in private law cases received by Cafcass in October

Figures released by Cafcass show that, in
October 2015, the number of private law cases received by Cafcass
decreased by 2% from October 2014 levels. A total of
3,311 new cases were received.
Between
April 2014 and
March 2015 Cafcass received a total of
34,171 new private law cases. This figure shows a marked
decrease of 27% from the
46,636 cases received in the previous financial year.
