Stowe has launched a domestic and international surrogacy law service across a number of its 17 offices, the law firm announced 31 October.
The specialist surrogacy team aims to provide support to clients in terms of checking the necessary documentation as well as legal formalities, both in the U.K. and internationally.
Cheryl Grace, a senior solicitor at the Stowe Leeds office, explained that surrogacy is "a complex journey, one that is not helped by the current 30-year-old laws in this area."
She added that "society has moved on and the current surrogacy laws are no longer fit-for-purpose."
