Marriage and divorce is on the rise for those aged over 65. For Family lawyers there are particular issues to consider when advising older clients who are thinking of marrying again, and who may have experienced the failure of previous relationships and divorce. This article looks at the importance of pre and post nuptial agreements for older couples, together with the relevant case law, and highlights other asset preservation issues such as new Wills and estate planning for those entering into marriage later in life.
