Room for improvement? Views of key professionals involved in care order proceedings [2005] CFLQ 231

This article will report on the views and experiences of key professionals involved in post-Children (NI) Order 1995 care order proceedings. Adopting a child welfare perspective, this article will present findings in relation to the key themes addressed during interviews with these professionals, including court processes, delay, placement permanence, and training. Suggestions made during these interviews as to how the system could be improved are described.
