Most family lawyers will undoubtedly now be aware of the new domestic abuse practice policy published by the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (‘Cafcass’) on 9 October 2024, with significant potential implications for many cases going through the Family Court system. This article seeks to summarise the key takeaways of the policy, as well as analysing the potential implications of it on private law cases.
