The Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 introduced “no-fault divorce” which is considered by many to be one of the most significant reforms in the family law world in recent years. However, whilst it is widely recognised that this could help to reduce unnecessary conflict, this article explores whether the new legislation could, in fact, have an even wider impact and signify a positive step for the LGBTQ community and potential future reform.
