Date:15 OCT 2024
Third slide

The prestigious LexisNexis Legal Awards 2025 are open for entries, and we are thrilled to announce two special categories designed to recognize the outstanding contributions of university law departments: the University Commercial Impact Award and the University Pro Bono Award. These awards offer a fantastic opportunity for universities to showcase their innovation and commitment to justice at one of the most highly regarded events in the legal calendar.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, 13th March 2025, at the Park Plaza Riverbank in central London. Universities across the UK are invited to submit their most innovative and impactful projects in either or both categories.

University Commercial Impact Award

This award celebrates universities that have made a significant commercial impact through innovative legal services, knowledge transfer, or partnerships with businesses. Whether through developing legal tech, providing expert legal advice to industry, or driving forward business-focused legal solutions, this category recognises universities that are making a tangible difference in the commercial legal landscape.

Why Enter?

  • Gain national recognition for your law department’s commercial achievements.
  • Showcase your institution’s innovative legal work to the wider industry.
  • Strengthen your university’s reputation as a leader in cutting-edge legal services.

If your university is leading the way in the development of impactful legal projects that benefit business and industry, this is your chance to showcase that success.

University Pro Bono Award

The University Pro Bono Award honours universities that are committed to providing access to justice through free legal services and outreach. Law clinics, student-led initiatives, or collaborative projects that address critical social issues and offer legal support to underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply.

Why Enter?

  • Be recognised for your university’s dedication to making legal services accessible to all.
  • Inspire future legal professionals to contribute to the wider community.
  • Highlight your university’s role in addressing key social justice issues.

Universities that have made a difference in their communities by offering free legal advice and services are invited to submit their work and gain recognition for their efforts.
