Montenegro has become the latest Contracting State to move to join the Hague Child Support Convention.
On 24 December 2015, the Permanent Bureau – the multinational secretariat which coordinates the Conference’s activities – received notification of Montenegro’s depositing of its instrument of accession to the Hague Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Maintenance on 2 December 2015.
The Convention will move to accept Montenegro on 1 January 2017. Should the accession be approved, the Hague Child Support Convention will total 33 Contracting States.
