FDRs are a fundamental pillar of financial remedy proceedings, however, they are strange hearings in many ways and often require a significant amount of preparation to be effective. This article is intended to give some practical tips and advice to aid in preparing for FDRs and pFDRs, including how to manage client expectations and a renewed emphasis upon the importance of standard directions, including mortgage raising capacity reports and property particulars which can be easily overlooked.
