The article explores the Family Court’s responses and the evidentiary framework which is employed in adjudicating allegations of deliberate salt poisoning of children. In the context of there being no established uniquely applicable law to undertake the fact-finding exercise to determine whether salt was deliberately or accidentally introduced to a child’s system.
