Child and Family Law Quarterly - Brexit Special Issue

Date:13 SEP 2017
Third slide

This special issue of the Child and Family Law Quarterly contains several of the papers delivered at a joint seminar held by the editors with Cambridge Family Law at Trinity College in March 2017 exploring various ramifications of Brexit across the full range of family law issues.

Professor Nigel Lowe examines its implications for the law on international child abduction, while Professor Paul Beaumont looks at private international law and the differences between EU Regulations and Hague Treaty law. Professors Janeen Carruthers and Elizabeth Crawford reflect on the implications of Brexit for cross-border divorce cases from a Scottish perspective and Dr Ruth Lamont considers the implications for cross-national family life. A continental perspective on the private international law questions, in particular, is provided by Professor Anatol Dutta.
