Challinors Solicitors has launched a new fixed-fee service called ‘Options Together’. Aimed at newly divorcing couples, the focus will be an initial meeting that provides detailed information regarding the choices and services available following a relationship breakdown, and aims to remove the need for both parties to seek separate legal advice. Family lawyer Pramila Meghani stresses that the service is especially beneficial to ‘couples with children who are anxious to resolve matters in their best interests too’. The Options Together service aims to provide a divorcing couple with information surrounding collaborative family law, mediation, arbitration, court applications, counselling and family therapy.
Family lawyer Claire McLeod estimates that the initial meeting would be followed by a detailed course of action, including timescale and costs. She says: ‘The new service’s first meeting gives our solicitors the chance to give couples detailed information on the choices and services available to them both, to help and guide them in resolving issues following their relationship’s breakdown.’
