Cafcass launch youth consultation on parental separation

Cafcass has launched a consultation, How It Looks To Me, for young people aged 10 to 18 years who have been affected by parental separation/divorce.

The consultation will take place at the National Space Centre in Leicester on Wednesday 15 April. It is aimed at developing Cafcass' private law services in the light of the views of children and young people themselves.

The research is supported by Professor Adrian James from the Centre of the Study of Childhood and Youth, University of Sheffield. The outcomes will be shared and published widely to all agencies providing a service to children in theses circumstances.

The young people will be given a free gift pack, including a £5 voucher to spend in the Space Centre shop and a £5 lunch voucher, plus the opportunity to win prizes throughout the day in exchange for their views on postcards, handed in at various bases in the consultation. Young people will be rewarded in vouchers for attending focus groups too and there will be grand prize draws at the end of each session. Travel expenses will be paid.
