The AIRE Centre is hosting the last event in its series 'Separated Children in Judicial Proceedings', a project which was the runner up at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers 2017 in the category of 'Rule of Law and Access to Justice'.
It will be held on 1 March from 16:00-18:45 and on 2 March from 10:00-13:00, hosted by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer at 65 Fleet St, London, EC4Y 1HT.
The final event aims to come back full circle from its launch in April 2016 and discuss the innovative approaches to child law cases which have emerged throughout the two years of the project. The event will bring together judges, barristers, solicitors, NGO’s and legal practitioners to exchange best practice in different areas of expertise (relocation, abduction, asylum, trafficking) and how to take cases using European and international mechanisms.
The President of the UK Supreme Court, Baroness Hale, will be attending the event on 1 March. A reception will take place that evening from 18:45 to 20:00.
