Dispute Resolution: Consent orders and mediation

Why is it not possible for clients to take mediated consent orders to court where there are no proceedings yet in train? More than 30 potential mediation clients attending MIAMs with the author  chose to start proceedings because they believed that was the only way to achieve an outcome they could trust. And why cannot children and finance be case managed together? To separating couples, children and finance are inextricably linked. This article argues that the Rule Committee is uniquely placed to address these matters now.
