Nicholas Francis QC has been appointed as a Justice of the High Court with effect from 6 October 2016, consequential to the retirement of Dame Mary Hogg DBE. He will be assigned to the Family Division and will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Francis.

Nicholas Francis QC was called to the Bar (M) in 1981 and took Silk in 2002. He was appointed as an Assistant Recorder in 1999, as a Recorder in 2000 and a Deputy High Court Judge in 2011.

At 29 Bedford Row, Nicholas Francis QC specialised in high net worth divorce, separation and pre- and post-nuptial agreements, with many cases involving trusts and an international element.

Hewill once again host this year’s flagship Family Law Conference, including the Hot Topic Panel Discussion: Brexit and the Implications to Family Law where he will be joined by Alexander Chandler, David Hodson OBE, Timothy Scott QC, David Williams QC.
