National law firm Mills & Reeve has appointed Sam Hall to its family team in Manchester. Sam, who joins the team as a solicitor, was previously at Yorkshire firm Gordons LLP.

He has a range of experience including divorce, ancillary relief, cohabitation and children-related matters. Recent work includes representing a non-biological mother from a previous same sex relationship where the biological mother refused to allow her parental responsibility together with attempting a relocation to a distant part of the country in order to frustrate contact.

Prior to his relocation, Sam was Chairman of Young Resolution for West & North Yorkshire and has now transferred to the Manchester Committee.

Commenting on Sam's appointment Nigel Shepherd, who heads the family team in Manchester, said: "Sam is a great addition to the team. His appointment is a further demonstration of our commitment to providing a top-class family law service to Manchester and the surrounding area."
