Gary Norton

Gary specialises in safeguarding and socio-legal studies. He is the unit lead for the law and safeguarding modules on the Masters Degree in Social Work and the BNurse CPD Safeguarding module for children and families. He is also the Admissions Officer for the MA programme. Gary's main areas of teaching include, safeguarding and child protection, neglect, domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation, trafficking and child radicalisation. He has expertise, in family law related to public law proceedings. He has a research background in social and organisational psychology focussing on groups and how they respond to criticism.
