About Family Law

Family Law is now a publishing imprint of LexisNexis. It was first introduced by Jordan Publishing in the 1980's.

Jordan Publishing was founded in 1863 by Mr Richard Jordan as a company registration and law stationery business, Jordan Publishing grew to become an independent, specialist legal publisher by 1894 operating from 123 Chancery Lane, in the very heart of London’s legal district. By evolving and investing in innovative online services, we continue to provide up-to-date knowledge and information to support legal professionals through the ongoing changes and challenges they face.

The acquisition of Jordan Publishing by LexisNexis UK completed in January 2016.

Family Law will continue to produce the Family Law Awards, textbooks, looseleafs, journals and court reference works. Our flagship titles include: The Family Court Practice (Red Book); the journal - Family Law, which has been the publication of record for over 50 years; plus our Family Law Reports which provide the most authoritative source of case reports.
